Before the next shift: a practical paperwork review

Use TowAdmin to review recorded deadlines, check source documents, and keep the next office action clear before a shift starts.

A useful paperwork review starts with the records your team actually maintains. TowAdmin can bring recorded dates and documents into one workspace, but your staff still needs to check the source paperwork and decide what applies to each driver, truck, and job.

Start with the attention list

Open the dashboard and look at the records marked expired or due soon. The upcoming dates panel helps you see what is approaching over the next 14 days. Open each item to check the underlying record rather than relying on a status label alone. Use the calendar when you need a broader view of recorded dates.

Check the source document

  • Confirm the record belongs to the right driver or truck.
  • Compare the entered expiration date with the current document.
  • Check whether the document is complete and whether any restrictions or follow-up steps apply.
  • If something is unclear, have the person responsible for compliance review it before treating the record as resolved.

A date in software is only as useful as the document and review behind it. Local requirements, contracts, and document types can differ, so use your own policies and authoritative sources when deciding what must be on file.

Close the loop after a renewal

Once you receive updated paperwork, add the supporting file to the appropriate record and correct the recorded date. Reopen the saved record to make sure the new document and date are visible to the team. If a document is still missing, keep the next action clear for the person handling it.

For a more detailed routine, use the driver credential renewal checklist and the tow-truck paperwork checklist. For a new impound, the impound case intake checklist covers the information to gather before the title process moves forward.
