A calendar is useful only when each date has a source and a follow-up. The same driver may have a license date, medical information, a training document, and contract-specific evidence. Combining them into one generic “driver expiration” hides what actually needs review.
Record each item separately
Start with the employee's correct identity and the latest legible source document. Note what the document is, the date it shows, and any restriction that the authorized reviewer must consider. Keep the file with the employee profile. If the date was copied from an old spreadsheet, verify it before using it to plan a renewal.
Turn dates into a review queue
Choose someone to inspect expired and approaching items on a regular schedule. Open the profile from the attention list, check the document, and decide what to request next. An appointment confirmation may show that a renewal is underway; it should not be treated as the renewed credential itself. When new evidence arrives, review it, attach it, update the appropriate date, and reopen the profile.
Know the calendar's limits
TowAdmin can organize employee fields, attachments, and recorded dates. It cannot independently determine whether a driver is qualified for a particular assignment. Federal and state rules, driver class, contract terms, and exceptions may matter. For operations subject to federal driver qualification requirements, consult the FMCSA driver qualification guidance and the appropriate licensing authority.
Use the driver credential management overview to see the workspace, then follow the renewal checklist for a more detailed document review.
